Avoiding automatic lists

Can anyone advise on how to absolutely turn off automatic lists,
bulletted or otherwise. I know of 3 ways to stop the process after it
has begun, but I never want the automatic lists to kick in.

Hi Yann -

Wording may vary depending on version, but if you go to
Tools>Autocorrect>Autoformat as you Type & remove the checks for any
auto features you want to disable (some say you should disable most or
perhaps all).
