axis break in chart

In Excel 2002 I have a line chart with two data series. The Y-axis of one
data series is down around 200. The other series is up around 500,000. Is
there a way to make a break in the Y-axis so that there isn't a bunch of
room between the two data series? I can change the scale, but then it makes
the lines look flat and you can see the variation in data ups and downs.

Thanks,
Lydia

Hi Lydia,

Have a look a Jon's example,
(http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/BrokenYAxis.html)

It also contains links to example by Tushar Mehta and myself.
