Axis labels truncated in Excel 2004 Mac

Hello, I'm having issues with category axis labels disappearing or
being cut off if they get too long in Excel. This happens on both bar
and column graphs. Usually I'm able to get them all to show up by
rotating them or by increasing the "offset" in the category axis
properties.

I've got this one bar graph, though, where rotating isn't an option,
offsetting doesn't work, and I'm only able to get all letters to show
up if I make the font really small.

I'm pretty vexed by this issue because I can't see or manipulate the
invisible boundaries that are cutting off the labels. Any ideas?

I also have the same problem if the label has more than one word and
the category axis is vertical - the second word simply gets cut off.
Making the font size smaller doesn't seem to help. I'm forced to
replace the space with some character such as an underscore, like this
"Buggy_Label".

Has nobody else encountered those issues?

Probably thousands of Excel chart makers have encountered the problem, and
dozens of them have reported it. For commiseration, discussions, and
solutions, go to Google, or better yet, to Google Groups, and search for
"Axis labels truncated in Excel" (without the quotes).
