Back-end, etc.

My data base is on computer A. It has been split. I copy
the front end to computers B & C. Each is looking in the
C drive (as it exists on A.) for the tables.

Is this a case of cerebral flatulance? I cannot find
where to tell the workstations (B & C) to look for the
back end via the network. My network links work for
other stuff.

Where is it?

Thanks,
Chrissy

Tools... Database Utilites... Linked Table Manager.

It will prompt for the location of the backend. If everyone has the
same drive map letters, you can use My Computer and navigate to the K:
drive; but if not, navigate via Network Neighborhood to the folder.
The path will be in the format

\\server\drive\path\xyz.mdb

and the frontend should now work on any networked computer without
needing customization.
