Background Color

I have a user who has set up a view where he can color the tasks
(background, fonts, etc) to his liking. Recently, inserted tasks have taken a
life of their own by coloring the background Yellow whenever data is entered.
I cannot find any customizing which may be causing this behavior.

Does Project automatically color backgrounds yellow when the upper
limitation (64,000) for colorizing is being neared? Any suggestions?

Thanks! RC

Check out Format > Text Styles, click through the drop downs at the top of
the dialog box, and try to ascertain if any of those are set to change tasks
to yellow for some reason.

Good suggestion. Forgot to mention I have checked the styles and did not
find anything there that is seems to be causing this to happen.

Other than checking the font in that view, I can't identify anything else
that would be causing this. Maybe he's got some weird grouping applied?
That could turn each line yellow, I suppose.

The other views in the same project are fine?

I would check if this view has any filter or grouping assiciated to it. that
may be a reason for the different background

The other views don't have the issue. Nor does any other project schedule.
I've checked the groups and filters and they are the global ones everybody
else is using.

Steps:
1. Insert task - no highlighting
2. Enter name - highlights only the name field
3. Do anything else taking currency off that task - highlights only the
duration, start, finish, and cost fields.

Checked the macros, visual basic, styles, filters, groups, and other
views/schedules with no luck in identifying what the heck is going on.
Thanks.
