Background Color

How can I change the background color for the entire page
of my document(including the area outside of my margins),
while still keeping all of the functionality? I've tried
using a text box and drawing a box. Neither of them worked.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Clayton,

For ONE page, you can insert a borderless textbox 8½x11, fill
it with a color, and set its wrapping to 'behind text.' It's
sometimes tricky to get back to the document layer once such
a box is inserted. (Cut it, click in the document and type
something, then paste it back.)

For EVERY page, you really can't do this neatly unless you're
satisfied with the dimmed color the box will have when placed
in the header layer

As you may know many printers won't print backgrounds, and
none I know of will print to the edge of the paper. That's
why God invented colored paper....

The reason for my maddness is this: In my windows enviroment, I made the
background a light blue. This is better for the eyes. But the page color in
word also uses the same color. I was just wanting to change it back to white
just for word. Thanks for the response though.
