background not saving with image

when i do a save as on a slide it is only saving the image on the slide and
not the background image. how is this done?

i worked it out by doing save as gif. right clicking and saving is
where i was having the problem. office 2003.

FWIW, If you use the menu system "Save As" (which is the proper way to do
it) and select any other image option (png my preference) you will get a
better product than your GIF selection.
