Background Shading for Layers

I recently changed computers and my new OS is Windows Vista. When I set a
background shade for a layer, it shows up in the Preview pane, but not in
Print Preview. The text within the layer prints, but not the background
shade. I am sure there is a simple fix, but I haven't been able to find it.

I don't use Windows Vista but another person had a problem similar to this.
The solution (in IE7) is Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Printing .
Tick the box "Print background colors and images"
