Backing up database from a macro on the switchboard

I have a database (hospital patient list database) that I
maintain daily and would like to easily backup this
database from the switchboard menu items. I created an
item on the switchboard but have not been able to create
teh comand or macro to backup up my database frm within
the program. Of course I can use explorer and backup the
program (patient.mdb) but would like to be able to do
this from wtih the running program from the switchboard
list of items. I have a bunch of queries and reports
that I do from the switchboard and all work fine. Thanks
