Backing up multiple files + photos to cd rw

Hi........ its been a little while since I have been on the site, I need
some help if anyone can.

I have tried to back up some files + some photo files on to a cd rw using
Nero, I find it very confusing and have wasted several disc's.
Is there a way in MS where I can get one lot of files onto the cdrw, then
add to the cd at a later date, say next day. I have XP Pro on the
pc.....sorry not upto looking at Vista yet.
I use the facility in Media Player to do music discs and find that very easy
if that helps, only there I use cd/r and they are for my car.
Any help or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

This is the MS Office applications group, it doesn't support writing to
CD's at all. I suggest you check in with Nero Tech support if you are
having issues with their software.
