backing up outlook 2007

Joe Parsons

I am running the trial version of Outlook 2007.

I am planning to reformat my HD or replace it altogether. With the regular
windows backup utility, the PST file shows as not being backed up because
it's corrupt (I have noticed no probllems with it in the past).

I downloaded and installed the PF Backup Tool from MS, but there is still no
Backup option in the File menu in Outloook.

What am I missing? Does this utility not work on the demo version?

It's probably not backed up because Outlook is still running and locking the
file.

I have tried it after terminating any instances of Outlook. same result.

Thanks for that link. Problem is, I am not seeing a button for COM Add-ins.

You can of course simply copy the pst to some external location.

Sorry about that. The guide still needs an Outlook 2007 update. You can find
it now in Tools-> Trust Center-> Add-ins.

Does a manual copy of the pst-file work?
