Does anyone have any recommendations for how to back up a project plan
offline from the server without duplicating external dependencies in related
plans?
I've tried doing this a couple of ways... just saving the file offline, then
inserting the file into a new file and removing the link to file checkbox and
marking the file as Read Only and saving it offline.
Both times, the files that have predecessor or successor links to the plan
have duplicate links - one to the original file and one to the back up file.
Is there any way to do this and to record the dependency but without
incurring a live link back to the original file.
I'm thinking my next try may be to export our back-ups to Excel; but I'd
like to do it in Project, if I could.
Thanks,
Michelle
