Backing up the Enterprise Resource Pool

I read in a recent post a recommendation to back up the Resource Pool as well
as the Enterprise Global as part of the disaster recovery plan. Seemed
pretty sensible so I tried it but the "save as" option in File when I have
the Enterprise Resource Pool open is greyed out. What am I doing wrong?

Hello Martin,
For the enterprise Global, that's not File / Save as... but :
Tools / Enterprise Options / Backup Enterprise Global

You can't go about that way. What you need to do is open a blank project
plan and use the build team dialog to add all your resources to it. You'll
need to create a resource sheet view that exposes all your custom field
values before you use File Save As on your new plan to save the project as a
file, selecting to save currently loaded global items. As an extra
precaution, you can create a template for backing up the Resource file that
is setup for you to also copy the Enterprise values into corresponding local
fields for guaranteed preservation.

Thanks Gary - Good advice as always. There is a bit od dodgy advice a couple
of days ago on this topic where it is said that you can open up the
enterprise resource pool from within enterprise options and "save as" a file.
