Backing up to DVD`

Don't know if this is the correct Newsgroup, but nothing
else seemed to fit the situation.

We have a new laptop with a combo DVD/CD drive. Have
laptop networked to my Dell Dimension 8100 unit -- no
problems there. Shared My Documents with laptop and
backed them up on a DVD+RW 4.7GB DVD (specs says it's a
DVD+RW drive). They're there; space is 763MG. But, the
properties now says disk is full. I thought I would be
able to backup 3 or 4 times, then erase and use again. Is
this not so?

Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Dont know about DVD+RW but if anything like CD RW you have to use particular
software process to copy data, if you want, to later append further data to
the same CD. It sounds though you have may simply copied data and finalised
the session.
Check the help file of whichever app you used in the process.

Is it the right group...let's see now...

Does your question pertain to Office? Answer: No.

So what does that tell you?!
