Backround fill color

Doc H.

When I apply a backround fill color the document loses its
formating. I have laid out a tri-fold brochure and want to
ad a backround color for printing. As soon as I do the
document loses it's three columns. Anyone got any ideas?

When you use Format | Background, Word switches to Web Layout view because
Background is for Web pages only. To make a color background for a printed
document, you have to use a "watermark." Note, however, that unless you have
a printer that can print "full bleed" (clear to the edge), you will have a
border of white around the edges.
