Backup 3 and entourage

I backed up my home folder with Backup 3. A week later my Powerbook
crashed, and is in the shop for repair. I have rented an ibook, which
necessitated the reinstallation of Office 2004. I did so, then using my
external harddrive restored my files, including the Microsoft User
Data. The Entourage data base is included, but when I open entourage,
it has not accessed the data base, and shows none of my email,
addresses, etc. Thinking perhaps I should have restored the MS User
Data files first, I removed the installation of Office, and reinstalled
it. This time I neglected to do the update, and when attempting to open
Entourage, was told that the identity could not be opened by this
version. Did the update, and was able to open it, but still no data.

I teach, and a great deal of data in Entourage (including student
papers) which I must access. Any ideas?

Did you try Entourage | Switch Identity?

If that doesn't work, go back to your external harddrive, and move just your
main identity folder into Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004
Identities, renaming the file first so that it doesn't overwrite anything.
Then try to Switch Identity to it.
