backup cd

I recently purchased a new Toshiba Tecra S1 from
shoptoshiba.com with Windows XP Pro and Microsoft Office
preinstalled. No backup cd's came with the computer. I
called Toshiba and they will send a backup cd for Windows
XP, but said they do not send backup cd's for Microsoft
Office even though they installed it - said I should get
from Microsoft. But Microsoft web site says they do not
support preinstalled software.

Can anyone help???

For a back up to be of any use you must have the MS Product Key for your Office
2000. It's the 25-digit mix of letters and nos. that should be with your docs
or on the bottom of the PC. You will have 2, one for XP and another for Office.
If you can't find them, download KeyFinder from www.magicaljellybean.com. It's
a free utility that will display both Product Keys(XP and Office). Now you can
use any Office 2000 CD to change or reload it. Perhaps you have a friend that
has the same version(i.e. Standard or Professional) that you have. MS CDs are
not unique and don't have a PK embedded, but the PKs are and you need one for
each installation of any MS product.

and/or a support incident #?
