Backup Email in Searchable Format

For space conservation reasons my company doesnt let us archive or
export our PST files. I find it very useful to be able to search past
emails for info but have to delete them to make space regularly. Is
there any way to backup my email with a macro that will make it
searchable? Presently all I can do is create an Access database and
import the email into it. That is a very time consuming and "clunky"
method. Any ideas?

Your company email policy is brain dead. Where is the access database
stored? Archive to the same location. A pst file with messages doesn't take
up any more space than an access file with messages.

I definitely agree with the first statement. The Access database in
on my hd but the pst is all online at their server. I think it is
more of a security issue than anything, they dont want us saving
anything that can come back to bite them later (employee notices,
etc,) They have even taken away the ability to do Auto Archive so
that is why I need a way to create a macro or something else that will
let me solve it on my system. We dont have administrator rights so I
can't install an "off the shelf" solution.
