Backup of Custom Stuff

I've done extensive customization of toolbars in Word,
Excel, Internet Explorer, etc. and of the MS Office
Shortcut Bar.

Are the customizations stored in a file somewhere which I
can backup. I had to reformat my hard drive and re-install
everything and getting everything set up again took a long
time. I would like to avoid this.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
