backup of outlook 2007 prior to reformating my disc

I am about to delete all my Office 2007 products and reload after reformating
my disc, I want to be able to back up my outlook with all messages, addresses
appointments etc can this be done so I don't lose anything?

As posted daily;
With outlook closed copy the data file to a suitable location
Test that the copied data file can be successfully opened opened within
Outlook, by copying back from media and locating in your documents folder
