Please help me ,
Is there any way to save project in MPP format without opening the project
on the screen.
It's mean I dokn't want to use FileOpen method ( and to show it to the
user,even if I can use ScreenUpdate=false)

Thanks,

I'm not sure if others are confused, but I am. If the Project file is not
already open, there is nothing to save. If it's already saved to disk, it's
in .mpp format. Are you looking for a way to save an open Project without a
Save dialog? Like an Auto Save?

Perhaps you could describe how you would use this in more detail? Start with
the user being logged in but no applications running and describe what you
want to happen.

Hi,It can be done from Project opened

I want that user will be able to select the project from open projects list
(from drafts DB) ,and then to save the project to mpp file ,without opening
it . Maybe with PSI ,or VBA

VBA will open the file so will any other method as it has to create the new
file.
It could open it behind the scenes though.

There is no way to create a .mpp file as Microsoft has kept the format
proprietary. The only way to save as .mpp is thru Project Professional. VBA
can open it, save as .mpp then close and discard any changes.

I don't think there is a PSI API to do this as Project Server itself is not
capable of this, only Project Pro.
