there is not a "reminder folder" you can see.
In versions before outlook 2007, only reminders in the inbox, calendar,
tasks folders worked. If you set a reminder in folders you added, they would
not work. Since you are using Outlook 2007, reminders will work if they
items are in different folders.
If you have a lot of old reminders, you can dismiss them by turning off
reminders (
http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2004/20041130.htm) - or just
select all of the old ones in the reminder window and choose dismiss all.

Excuse me. I should have included that. I use Outlook 2007.
Your answer generates other questions: What do you mean by "fire from the
default folders"? Where can I find the file that "holds" the reminders?
The
little reminder window is so full that I cannot see all of them at one
time
anymore.
Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to answer.

Version of Outlook? Typically, reminders only fire from the default
folders.
