Backup Strategy for EPM

Is there any predefined backup stretegy/process regarding EPM.
What is the best way of backup the projects saved on server

For MS Project EPM backups, there is no one tool. In simplest form you have
to do following:

1. Projects on EPM
Backup ProjectServer & Sharepoint databases. Follow
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2000/maintain/sqlbackuprest.mspx

2. Backup WSS Sites
Use STSAdmin.exe or WSSMigr.exe

3. PWA Views
Backups PWA views using Viewbackup utility in Project Server 2003 Resource Kit

4. Backup Enterprise Global Template

5. Try EPM Configurations Manager from this site

6. Besides above things, make sure to follow the standard backup procedures
for IIS, Analysis Services, OS & other components.

Dear DALE and Faisal

Thanks for the reply. My last question was a confirmation of backup
policy we currently have in our EPM environment. But just let me
elaborate my question.
What about backup policy for the projects published and used in project
server.
Few days back we have an issue where while publishing project
professional removed all the assignments for a particular resource. We
were not aware and project work was started. I have idea about create
a archieved version in PWA and save the project as backup version. Can
you guys share exactly what should be done?

I think you would like to know the bottom most level of backup in EPM. I.e.
to individual projects or tasks level.

Few things come to my mind on this.

1. Creating versions
2. Baseline Project Plan
3. Using 'Restore Single Project' utility in Project Server 2003

One should test the last option for how it would effect existing data.
