Hi,

Floppy disks still exist?

1. File, Save As
or
2. Open two explorer windows, one on the floppy drive the other your excel
files, highlight the Excel files and drag them to the floppy drive window.

3. If you are trying to do a programmed backup to a floppy, it would be
dependent on the program you are using to do the backups. I don't think all
backup programs support using floppies as destinations for backups.

Why not get a flash drive and save the files to that. A floppy disk has a
max of 1.44 MB, while flash drive, even small ones are 2-8 GB and are very
reasonably priced these days.

Once they are saved to your hard drive, and if they fit on a floppy, after
incerting a disk in your "A" drive just drag them to your "A" drive and drop
them. To open them later on a different machine, or on the same machine as a
backup drag them off the floppy to the hard drive and open from there. To
open from or save to a mobile media can cause a file to become corrupted.

File/Save As and then change the folder to the A:\ or B:\ (or whatever letter
is assigned to your floppy disk drive and click OK.

Or you can copy it form your hard drive to your floppy.

Never save to a floppy or any other removable media.
Always save and copy to the floppy.
To use, always copy to the HD before using.

For my last computer I had to buy an EXTERNAL floppy drive that plugs into a
usb port.
