Backup

I would like to use a CD as the place where documents are
automaitcally backed up. How do I designate the file to
use for backup of Word documents?

Bad idea. First you should never save directly to a floppy or CD. Secondly
imagine the chaos if your created C:\My Named Document and a different C:\My
Document\My Named What would the backup document be?

Unless you are referring to AutoRecover (in which case, as Greg says, this
would be a seriously bad idea), you cannot select the folder for backups
(they're always saved in the same folder with the document). I suspect you
have some misconceptions about backups, anyway. See
