backward compatibility

I have Excel 2000 and also 2002 for the PC. I need to
send a simple speadsheet to another user that only has
Excel 98 on a Mac. Will they be able to open the file?

They should be able to the format is the same for Excel 97 and up
(that includes PC and Mac versions).
