bad format of rule

Tom Tang

When I install Outlook 2007 Beta then modify my email rules.
1. I could not send and receive mail by set the default mail to local pst
file in my local PC.
2. When I switch back to use Outlook 2003, my rule does not work any more.
It keeps on jumping "Your stored rule appear to have bad format" by just
click on the rules. It is really frastrating to me.

It is really frastrating to me.

Yes, beta software is like that sometimes.

I've seen lots of issues with rules on Exchange Server when switching
clients.
Are you using Exchange or is this a POP or IMAP account with your ISP?

Let me recap. You had Outlook 2007 on your computer, but send/receive
mail wasn't working? Then you removed 2007 and reinstalled 2003? Now you
can't get into the Rules dialog at all or does it give you an error
message for a particular rule? If you can't get into the dialog at all,
does it ask you whether to delete all rules?

and then reinstalled 2003 and am getting the same Rules Bad Format
error....
