Bad Passwords for Incoming mail in Outlook 2007?

Hello everyone. I have an issue with Outlook 2007. I posted quite awhile ago
about this same issue. I have a new co-worker that is working with us at the
company I work at. We have our own mail server. He is using Outlook 2007. I
ran into the same issue that I ran into with another client of ours. For
some reason or another Outlook 2007 keeps sending bad passwords to our mail
server for receiving mail and not sending. Sending out email works great. We
require authentication when sending emails. I cant figure out for the life of
me why Outlook 2007 is only messing up the receiving password transmission.
We even recreated the account totally in Outlook and on the mail server. We
made sure that the passwords matched exactly on both sides. We even sent the
email on another email client and it works fine. As a test I even disabled
the function on the mail server to accept any password and Outlook receives
the email fine. I can't tell what password Outlook 2007 is sending over
because the mail server masks the password with *******. I have searched far
and wide to have this issue resolved with little to no answer. Has anyone
else run into this issue? Thanks for any help you can give.
