bak files

all the time thah I create a file, I see another file with
the same name but with the extention .bak

How I can avoid this ( is like my web have the double of
the pages. Sorry for my english ( I am Italian)

Lot of programs do, but you're right; FP doesn't. One I know that does is
EditPlus.

HomeSite does create backup when doing search and replace by default.

Do you have any type file restore/un-delete software installed?

FrontPage does NOT create backup files!
