Balance of 2 fields

Desi

Hello, I was wondering If I could email a copy of my database to anyone. I'm
trying to subtract 2 fields to get a balance. I'm not familiar with all the
access terms to tell what I need. I don't know if my table is correct also..I
need a lot of help!!! I think I could explain if it's one on one...

Newsgroups aren't intended to be a contact point for one-on-one free
consulting. They are intended to provide answers to specific questions, with
the Q & A publicly recorded, so it may help others who read the thread when
it is current or search the newsgroup archives later. (These newsgroups
aren't intended, either, to be a contact point for paid consulting -- if
your question results in someone soliciting you to fix your problem for fee,
be aware that many who do that are either incompetent, or scammers, or
both.)

Try to describe the problem you are having, in a straightforward and clear
manner. If you have problems being understood, there's a very good chance
that someone here will ask pertinent questions. The version of Access is
pertinent, the context in which you want to perform the calculation is
pertinent, and whether the two fields that are factors in the calculation
are in the same record is pertinent.

Also, because there is so much malware, virus activity, and mischief going
on, few people here will just accept, open, and look at a database unless
they have been part of a discussion on it and ask for a copy to be sent to
them.

Folks volunteer their time here ... you may not find someone willing to
volunteer his/her time to do take on a full-blown development/training
effort.

There's no harm in trying to explain your situation. In fact, there's
probably some benefit from NOT knowing all the terms ... your descriptions
will probably make more sense!

Give it a try...

We're all volunteers here; most of us have day jobs, or consulting
responsibilities, or other constraints on our time. One on one hands-on
support is more appropriate for a paid consulting relationship than for a free
newsgroup like this one. I'd really suggest that you make the effort to
communicate your problem here: post the names and relevant fieldnames (with
datatypes and significance) of your tables, their relationships, and what
calculation you're trying to do and where.

You need to search for information regarding "many to many" table
structure. There are a great deal of posts in this newsgroup as well
as microsoft.public.access.tablesdbdesign.
good luck

I'm always looking to learn something ...

I'm curious how you came to "many to many" based on the original post? What
did I miss?
