bandwidth question

Please forgive me in that this does not deal directly with
FrontPage. How do you determine if website might exceed
bandwidth limits? Will link with virtual tour of facility
affect the bandwidth? I am volunteer maintaining website
and have visions of Director coming in and asking why
hosting bill is high. I know this may be vague but could
anyone refer me to information to read.

Is bandwidth something you exceed and then say oops?

Thanks, I called the virtual tour company and was told
that bandwidth would not affect our hosting since we link
to their site and do not have photos on our site
directly.
