Nope I do not have java machine installed. What so funny is the fact that it
worked when I had Windows 98 and or Windows 2000 installed but since I
installed Windows XP I get the problem that the Banner ad Manager work in
View but not if you use - File - Preview in Browser. Can Windows cause a
problem or am I just trying to be blond 2day???

The JVM is not installed as standard on Windows XP and later - it has to
be downloaded. It is installed as standard on Windows 2000 and earlier.
Also, many users that have the JVM installed, turn it off for security
reasons.
Nowadays, Java on the web is something to be avoided.

Thanks for the quick response. But just to give you further background. We
have a few pc's which run Windows XP - school licence on and
the Banner Ad Manager work perfect. As soon as I use my pc, witch is a
private pc (XP home installed), it gives me problems.

Suggestion would it be wise not to use the Banner ad Manager at all or will
it work if you upload the website onto a server on the net.

Greetings

It is best NOT to use any Java applets - this includes the Banner Ad
Manager, and Hover Buttons.
To see any Java applet your PC must have a JVM installed, regardless of
what the server has or has not.
Some PC manufacturers install Sun's JVM as part of *their* customisation
of the PC (Dell and Toshiba do so), but this is not a standard
installation of Windows XP. Also, the schools IT admin may have
downloaded the JVM and installed it. Not many people will - it's a big
download (20MB), and Sun's version (the only version now available)
actually crashes some systems.

Some people have downloaded and installed java. Apparently you haven't.
The recommendation is to *not* use java based applications.
