bar chart with scatter plot attn: Peltier

Jon - got the instructions off your web page to plot a line against a bar
chart using the same horizontal access. they didn't work -- I can't get the
chart to use the same horizontal scale for the scatter plot that it did for
the bar chart. any suggestions?

I just ran off another quick example. Data:

Bar Scatter
D 7 0.5
C 4 1.5
B 3 2.5
A 5 3.5

I selected the first two columns and made my bar chart. I selected the second two
columns, copied it, selected the chart, Edit > Paste Special, New Series, by Column,
Names in first row, Categories in first column. Selected the new bar, Chart > Chart
Type > XY Scatter. Everything lined up; I got a marker at the end of each bar.

The chart has four axes. Without ill effect, I was able to go to Chart menu > Chart
Options > Axes tab and uncheck any or all axes, and things stayed lined up. I'd
suggest keeping the primary axes and losing the secondary ones.
