You can use fonts to produce code 39 bar codes in an Access report
however fonts produce very porr quality bar codes and they cannot add
start/stop codes for you automatically. The best tool to use for
adding bar codes to an Access report is a good bar code ActiveX
control. The best one on the market is available from TAL Technologies
at: http://www.taltech.com/products/activex_barcodes.html
There is a demo available at the above URL that comes complete with a
sample Access database that demonstrates how to use it in Access.
