Office 2000 formats bar codes to print above the address
Is there any way to make the bar code print below the
address when I print a single envelope?

Hi JoAnn,

I'm assuming you're talking about the U.S. POSTNET
code used with addresses in Word? This article has
a procedure for changing the position. In newer versions
of Word the Tools=>Envelopes and Labels would be
Tools=>Letters and Mailings=>Envelopes and Labels

A rather useful article, thanks! However, despite the US Post Office
preferred position above the addressee's name, I like bar-codes at the end
of the address. The method given is a one-off solution, AFAICT, and I'd
personally like a permanent change. However, I don't feel very strongly
about it.

Bob & James, Thanks for your comments your thoughts
helped. I think I'll just continue printing postnet
codes above the address. Time is money...just need to
get the job done....anyway the post office wants it.
Thanks again, appreciate your postings, Jo Ann
