Bar & grill business plans?

I'm having trouble setting up a business plan for a bar & grill using Excel.
I can't seen to find good templates for any of the Office 2000 products. Any
ideas or template locations would be a great help.

I have, but most of the plans require newer software (office 2003 or newer),
the other give you free templates but required thier software.

well some might be templates
but others are actual business plans
that you can adopt.

it is unlikely that a simple template
requires the power of newer programs
unless the templates had somekind of
macros or something. Even then, what
you are looking for is somekind of guideline
so that you can build your own. So an
advanced .doc file can still be read by
an older program.

doesn't the sba provide any help?

Excel 2000 should be able to open Excel 2003 files, though. I don't think
there's so much difference that it would totally mess everything up.

Do the sites with free plans require you to have 2003 even to download them?
(Microsoft sometimes has that type of thing...)

The sample plans at http://www.bplans.com/samples/sba.cfm aren't templates,
but they're easy enough to do in Word/Excel. SCORE actually has some
templates, though.

They seem version-agnostic.
