bar text

i have just begun using MP and am having trouble w bar
text. i have selected text 30 in the inside section, but
i cant type text! is the text from a specific field or
how can i type in my text?

Click on View | Gantt
Click on the column header for any column to select an entire column
Press the Insert Key
This will display a dialog box and you can select the display of the Text30
column. You enter your text there.

ok im in gantt view, have clicked the top of the column
and nothing happens, i can double click the top to change
the timescale settings, but no text. what have i done
wrong?

You must click on the top of a column (such as Name, Start, Finish) not the
top of the Gantt display.
