Barcode modification

Here's my problem -

At work we scan unit numbers into Access using a barcode scanner. We follow
the unit number with the scanning of a "KT" number. The number consists of
KT followed by a 5 digit number. Recently out KT numbers changed over to
"KV" numbers, and Access will not scan these. Obviously some modification
has to be performed, but as a novice with Access I have no idea what the
modification would be or how to do it. If anyone can help I would appreciate
it.

More than likely there's some code or a validation rule which is inhibiting
the data entry. If you can get into the design view of the form and table,
you can probably find it easily enough in a property sheet or VBA code. Look
in the property sheets first. If design view is unavailable, you'll need to
find the original developer and get him to change it for you.
