Barcode problems Word 97

Just recently, out of the blue, instead of the barcode, I get this:
{ BARCODE ENV_ZIPCODE2\b \u }
right above the first line of the address.

I have no idea why it started doing this suddenly, when it has been
working beautifully for years!

The only thing that has changed is that I used the supply CD to
install the Calendar Wizard.

Anyone got any ideas?

I did that. No help.
When I used the add to document button, then it changed with Alt+F9,
from field identifier to barcode, but it made no difference in the
printing. Either way, I get the field code. Bizarre, eh?

(I do wonder how that got checked...I sure don't recall doing that. I
don't think I've opened that tab for a long long time, if ever.)

Hi Peter,

That tab is also available through File=>Print=>[Options]
It may have been popped up to see what it said one day
and accidentally clicked on a setting.
