Base Calendars in Project Server

I am trying to understand what implications different base calendars may
have when linking projects into a Master Schedule hierachy and a high
level schedule hierachy.

Can anyone advise?

Hi Custard

As long as the calendars are named separately you shouldnt have a problem.
The problem arises when the 'standard' calendar is used and modified to suit
each specific project file, then project has a difficulty and uses the
"master" standard. This then 'screws' the durations and timing for all the
projects that make the master project. I ask all the contractors to create
their own calendar named after their company name and use that as the project
calendar, then even in a master project arrangement each file will continue
to calculate correctly.
