If you create a new email and copy and paste an attachment from the file
system, versus create a new email and copy and paste the same attachment from
an existing email the resulting Base64 encoding differs. The attachment is a
TNEF Winmail.dat base64 attachment. I would think that since they same file
was copy and pasted to the new email the resulting base64 encoding should be
identical. The only difference is where the attachment was copied from.
When a copy and paste occurs from one email to another the base64 encoding is
altered in such a way that our fax server no longer recognized the
attachment. Copy and paste the same attachment from an existing email and it
works fine.
