Hi. I am working on trying to use project to organize an upcoming
production. It is for a 3D animated commercial.

I am trying to organize two main things. The work that needs to be done(some
of which is visible in the top half of this frame)... There are two
commercials as part of this project, Surprise and The Chase. The specific
work for each is broken down. Above the two projects is work that needs to
be done that will be used in both commercials.

The other thing I want to organize is the actual man power to do the
commercials. I have artists and the days in which I have them booked at the
bottom of the frame.

It seems to me I am not approaching this in the right way :)

Can you guys please explain to me (a first time user) the best way to move
forward and organize this job in project 2003? Any tips would be greatly
appreciated.

One thing I would like to know is - Can I have the DURATION of Surprise
Production be the SUM of all the days of work that need to be done, rather
than how long on a calendar it will be ongoing. As the work will be
approached by several people at once.

thanks.

Hello Lawrence,

As a first step, have a look at the Mike Glen site :
http://tinylink.com/?jdiDj9WOug
Just an advice : don't confuse Duration and Work : A Duration will never be
the sum of all the days of Work.

Hope this helps,
