Baseline change to affect BCWP but BCWS.

I have a 5000 task, 3 year wbs that has been resource loaded, leveled and
actual hours have been posted for 2 years.

I have been asked to make the following change to the WBS. We have a set of
tasks that have started on time but the completion is delayed. Actual hours
have been posted to these tasks. We would like to break these tasks in two
parts (2005 and 2006). However we don't want the the baseline start and
finish date for the combination of 2005 and 2006 to be different than the
original task. We don't want to affect BCWS but we do want to affect BCWP.
(We follow 0%-100% for recoginition.)

If I didn't have hours posted to the original task I wouldn't have a
problem. But I have hours posted that are past the original baseline finish
date.

Here is what I want to do:
Original:
task 1 - 5 day baseline and has actuals posted for 10 days (task is open)

Change to:
Task 1(2005) - 4 day baseline and actauls posted for 10 days (task is closed)
Task 1(2006) - 1 day baseline and no actuals (task is open)

I can then close task 1(2005) and task 1(2006) stays open.

Any input on how I can pull this off would be most appreciated!
