Baseline Dates in Timesheet View?

M

I thought I new how to do this, but am now confused.
PS2003.
I added 'Baseline Start' and 'Baseline Finish' to the TimeSheet view in PWA.
However, I get no values. The fields are blank.

On the global tamplate, I did tools->customize->published Fields. Moved
both from left to right window (column), set as task. pressed default button.

Had PM re-baseline, republish some existing project tasks. Same result.
Fields are blank.

Any and all help, greatly apreciated.

Mark:

You can't add published fields to the E-Global. Doesn't work. You need to
add them on a project-by-project basis for all existing projects. Add these
to all templates from which you start projects, and all future projects you
build from the templates will have them as well.

The PM that wants builds his projects from scratch....doesn't use templates.
So that means he must add the fields for each new project. Is that correct?

Mark:

Tell him/her to create a blank project template with all the desired
settings and no tasks!

Thanks Gary. I'll pass it along. However, in the tests I ran yesterday, it
looks as though if the "Set as default' button is selected for each field,
any new projects will have the baseline dates available as desired on the
'Project1' blank project.

Thanks again for the help.
