Baseline Locking - Subprojects v master

Freisia

Hi Folks.

I have multiple subproject (managed by others) that I wish to track in a
Master but wish to set the baseline and only allow myself to re baseline if
necessary so that I can run slippage reports. Any idea how to do this?
Running Project 2003 - not central server version unfortunately.

Thanks kindly

Hi Freisia ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You cannot protect the baseline. An alternative is to use the custom fields
to save the original baseline data and then you can always copy it back into
your master. Or, perhaps, Save As... a different name, then you can copy
baseline information from that back into the current master.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
