Baselining Programme Level Plan

John Castle

Hi, I have approx 10 sub-project files that have been
indidually baselined. They are linked to another file
which is known as the programme level plan. Essentially
the programme level plan is the sum of the other 10 plans
and there are no additional stand-alone tasks in it. This
being the case, is the any benefit to be gained from
baseling the programme level plan since all baseline info
is viewable from the linked sub-projects? Hope this makes
sense?

John:

No. All of the baselined information is available to you
in the summary project, so unless you are permanently
consolidating the projects, there isn't much value in
doing this.

Hope this helps!
