Baselining specific tasks DECREASES overall summary costs

I am baselining a specific task which should increase the baseline cost of
the project. When I baseline the task, Project is decreasing the overall
cost by a considerable amount (more than I'm adding).

I am using the "Selected Tasks" -> "To all summary tasks" option.

Not sure what is going on. I'm working in 2003 project server environment.

Any suggestions as to what is going on?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for replying. I checked out the newsgroup and discovered that it is
the same one we are in! I went there and using the links made a big loop
right back into this discussion group.

So, is there anybody out there that has a suggestion on what is causing this
problem in Project?

Not true, Roland, you still need the microsoft.public.project.server
newsgroup which is where the server gurus hang out!

OK. So you're saying its a server issue rather than a project issue?
