New to InfoPath. I have created a form, setup my database connecion no
problem. However, I am having problems getting the a dropdown to display the
field I want from my access database. When I go to dropdown properties I run
into a few problems:
1. I select the "lookup values in a data connection..." radio button. But
once I complete the page, hit apply and ok, when I go back into properties
Infopath has reset the radio button to "lookup values in the form's
datasource". Any way to make my origional choice stick?
2. Upon initially selecting lookup from database, I am then able to select
my connection and entries group ok. But I am not allowed to choose anything
for the value or display name other than the default, which is a clientID.
What I am really trying to do is simply display a dropdown list of clients
(name not ID) from the access database. Each client having a name and
ClientID, the ClientID being the primary key.
Any thoughts on where I am going wrong or missing? Much appreciated.
