I'm using FrontPage 2003 and my site is hosted by Bcentral. FrontPage
extensions are enabled for my site.
Just to get started, I used the Form Wizard to setup my email form.
In both Form Properties and Options(Saving Results)/Email Results Tab, I've
entered my email address.
I've published the form, but get The page cannot be found when testing on
the site. The page it's looking for is in mydomain/_derived/nortbots.htm. For
this error message, Bcentral references KB 181205
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q181205/). This article is supposed to apply
only to FP98, but I tried to follow it anyway just in case. Method 1 doesn't
apply, as Bcentral has the latest FP extensions. Method 2 doesn't work, as
the referenced code doesn't exist.
Method 3, step 1, says "In FrontPage Explorer, open your web on the server".
I'm not sure what FrontPage Explorer is. Is this something from FP98, or what
you see when you show the folder list. Either way, I don't know how to open a
page on the server from within FrontPage2003. If I could follow these steps,
and re-create the form on the server, would that work? If so, how do I do
this?
OR is this article not applicable for FP2003?
I've also tried Tools/Recalculate Hyperlinks (a suggestion in this forum),
but that didn't help.
I also read the PDF from the Bcentral Getting Started section, which
mentions not to change the file name (fpweb:///_private/formrslt.htm) in the
Form Properties box, but I've deleted it because I don't want the email saved
on the server; I just want it sent to me. I also hope this will simplify
things anyway, because I was getting the message, "Please enter a valid page
URL" everytime I clicked OK.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
