In 2003, I was able to completely select, with the arrow tool, a graphic box
(es) as well as the text that was inside. After selecting, I could copy and
paste into a new document and it would all fill in perfectly. In 2007, I am
unable to "select all" which would include graphics AND text. (I get
graphics only, or text only.) How can I select all and paste graphics and
text as a unit into a new document?

Have you tried using the arrow tool in 2007? On the Home tab, in the Editing
group, click Select. Click Select Objects. Draw a large rectangle over what
you want to copy. Copy and paste
